Terms

The operating boundaries of RentalKey.

Effective 22 July 2026. These terms summarise how the website is intended to be used and where responsibility remains with the account holder.

Section 1

Administrative software

RentalKey provides tools for organising rental records, reminders and workflows. It is not a property management agency, law firm, accountant, insurer, emergency service, tribunal or government service.

Section 2

Owner responsibility

Owners remain responsible for verifying records, meeting legal obligations, choosing providers, making approval decisions and using official processes where required.

Section 3

No rent or bond money handling

RentalKey does not collect, hold or transfer rent or bond money. Stripe is used only for the owner software subscription.

Section 4

Deferred and controlled-pilot features

Deferred or controlled-pilot capabilities are unavailable unless RentalKey explicitly enables them for the relevant environment and user. No public route creates a managed-service booking, provider assignment, payment, listing, viewing authority or legal notice.

Section 5

Acceptable use

Users must only enter information they are authorised to handle and must not use the service for unlawful, misleading, unsafe, discriminatory or harmful activity.

Section 6

Billing terms

Published software pricing, trial details, active-property counting and GST treatment are described on the Pricing page and during subscription setup.
